My very good friend Jared’s Brooklyn apartment. It’s a beautiful space filled with meaning-full objects. And as I looked through these great photos, I realized in nearly every one you can find at least one object, book, or handmade item I’ve given to him over the years. Like the Mondrian-esque pillows that I designed and Kim made, or that Eames book, or the little Schoolhouse Electric Company light fixture in the last photo.
And I feel certain that many of his other close friends looking through these same photos will notice the exact same thing. Jared has built a home out of the art of memories and gifts and the artifacts of old friends. It’s a wonderful thing.
